30,000 youth recruited in public sector in last 3 yrs: Manoj Sinha

Srinagar, Sept 10: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Saturday said that 30,000 youth were recruited in the public sector in the last three years.

Speaking at a conclave organized by a private television channel, the LG said, “In 2021, we made 11578 recruitments. In the last three years, the total number of jobs provided to the youth stands at 30000.”

He further added that with regard to the jobs under the PM package, “there were 6000 vacancies out of which only 354 lie vacant. These are under process and will be filled soon.”

Similarly, the industrial projects worth 38080 Cr proposals were sanctioned during the last visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, LG said.

Sinha said, projects proposals worth 20000 Cr for industries were waiting to get sanctioned.

“Only hindrance was the lack of a land bank. Now we have released the land and it is being developed. The tendering for the land development has been done and I hope in the next three months all these proposals will be sanctioned,” he added.

S imilarly, he said apart from this there are 22 medicity proposals that have been sanctioned at Rs 4400 Cr. “It will have private hospitals, medical colleges, and will see an increase of 900 MBBS seats,” Sinha said.

The IT towers will come up in twin cities of Jammu and Srinagar.

“A Dubai based group has been provided the land and they have prepared their DPR. They are about to start their work. I am doing my best in this regard,” the LG added.
