*Meet a research scholar from Ganderbal who won national photography award*

*22-year-old Mir Muskan nominated for ‘Her Rising Awards 2020’ now*

Srinagar, Sep 1: A research scholar of forestry at SKUAST-Kashmir has won the best photography award in an online National photography competition and has been now nominated for "Her Rising Awards 2020".

Mir Muskan-un-Nisa(22), a resident of Arampora Ganderbal has been showcasing her talent at different platforms and her work is being widely lauded.

Muskan while talking exclusively with new agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that she is very jubilant after being nominated for ‘Her Rising Awards 2020’, in the Starter category among over one thousand applicants.

She said that Her Rising awards applaud women achievers and she has chance to win based on votes she gets. “It is an effort to recognize women who are rising at their organizations as a result of their commitment and drive,” Muskan beamed.

The awards will be given in an India's largest conference and career fairs for women to be held online on 19 September, 2020.

Muskan said recently she won a national online photography award as her photograph was selected among over one thousand participants in which student as well as teachers and NGOs Participated.

“My message in a photography was—not to throw used masks and other on road sides and animals like dogs can smell them and touch them and in case the material is carrying virus it can transmit to animals which can be more dangerous,” she said, adding that the national level photography competition was organised by Punyashlok Ahilyadevi University Maharashtra in association with Global youth for environment sustainability India and Bummi buddies Indonesia.

She further added that sometimes before I have qualified ICAR JRF exams with 5th rank all over the India and secured the second position in All India Inter Agricultural University youth festival.

She further said that her ideas are being discussed and worked upon at the National Agricultural higher education project of SKUAST Kashmir and my work in different fields at different stages continues.

“My message to the youth of Kashmir will be don't hide your talent, show your talent whatever field it is and work for the betterment of the society,” she said.

Muskan said that the aim of her life is to work for the welfare of the society. While requesting people of Kashmir especially youth not to waste time in futile exercises and utilize the same to build a strong society—(KNO)
