Applications through online mode are invited from the applicants who are domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir possessing the
prescribed Academic /Professional qualification and age for the post of Medical Officer in terms of the “Jammu & Kashmir Health & Medical Education Department Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2013, notified vide SRO 325 dated 12.07.2013, read with amendment made vide SRO-388 dated 10.09.2018 and Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (Business and Procedure) Rules, 2021
The recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 378 Medical Officer posts.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit as on January 1, 2023: The applicants from PHC category should have attained the age of 42 years, whereas the upper age limit for SC/ST/ALC-IB/SLC/EWS/PSP category candidates is 43 years. More details in the notification.
Educational Qualification: MBBS or Possession of recognised Graduate Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the 3rd Scheduled (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. More details in the notification.
Important Dates
- The Application Form together with instructions for filling up the Application Forms will be available at the website of the Commission from 18.01.2023.
- Last date for filling of online Application complete in all respects along with the requisite fee (online mode only) is 16.02.2023.
- Candidates car edit some of the fields in their online application form w.e.f17.02.2023 to19.02.2023 (up to 11.59 PM). Instructions in this regard will be separately made available on the website.
- The tentative date of Written Examination is 17.04. 2023.
Requisite Fee
The applicants from reserved category are required to pay the fee of Rs 1000, whereas Rs 500 is applicable to candidates from reserved category.
